Chevrolet rolled out the release of the Trax subcompact around the world starting in 2013, and it first pulled onto U.S. roadways two years later. Drivers turned to the SUV for its responsive handling and overall convenience, and Chevy has updated the Trax with more offerings and enhanced appeal in the year models that followed.
In 2017, the Trax underwent a style refresh inside and out, while Android Auto and Apple CarPlay® were made standard features. For 2020, Chevrolet updated the Tax’s user-friendly infotainment system, and in 2022, the SUV’s engine was upgraded to generate more horsepower and torque. Various trims and packages have been offered throughout the subcompact’s history, including the darkly accented Midnight Edition, Driver Confidence package with extra safety systems, and Premier trim with an upgraded interior. Many Trax year models have also been available with either front- or all-wheel drive.
