The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado returns with a slew of updates including a redesigned cabin on LT trims and up, which include a redesigned dashboard, enhanced materials, and a now standard 13.4-color inch touchscreen, an increase in towing capacity for the 3.0-liter diesel, the addition of new driver assistance tech, an enhanced 2.7-liter turbo engine that produces 20 percent more torque, and the introduction of the rugged ZR2 off-road truck, which features an abundance of off-road and modern technology, a premium interior, along with a wide range of standard safety features.

On LT trims and above, the unique wing-shaped daytime running lamps were revised and now feature animated lighting sequences when approaching, walking away, or starting the truck.
The Silverado 1500’s interior features a 13.4-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin arrives with a range of new available colors and premium materials. The design of the cabin focuses on a combination of comfort and spaciousness. There are also new available colors, seat designs, and premium materials, such as open-pore wood trim on the console, upper glove box, and doors, standard leather seating, stainless steel speaker grilles, among many other features.
The Silverado 1500 offers four distinct powertrains: a 2.7-liter Turbo, 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder received a 4,000-pound increase in towing capability, bringing it up to 13,300 pounds. The ZR2 features a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 420 horsepower.
