For 2020, Chevy updates the Traverse’s technology with the Infotainment 3 system. It provides seamless access to popular features, and its menu navigating and controls are intuitive and hassle-free. The SUV comes standard with Teen Driver, a system that helps inexperienced drivers learn safe driving habits. It lets you hand over the keys with peace of mind as you can set speed and volume limits when your secondary driver is in control. The 2020 model also comes with a buckle-to-drive feature, requiring the driver to buckle their seatbelt before they can leave the driveway. You can also equip the Traverse with trailer hookup assistance camera.
The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is available in seven trim levels:
In the base L trim, you’ll find a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth®*, onboard Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, tri-zone automatic climate control, USB ports, and a rearview camera. The LS can build on the standard features with the available rear-seat entertainment system, all-wheel drive, and several styling enhancements. The LT trim can be fitted with either cloth or leather upholstery, and also features a larger touchscreen, satellite radio, second-row captain’s chairs, power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power liftgate, rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
The RS trim has a navigation system, leather upholstery, Bose sound, a surround-view parking camera system, and a rear camera mirror. The Premier offers ventilated front seats, leather seating, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless device charging. The High Country trim tops the lineup with a long list of the range’s features as well as special trailering gear, adaptive cruise control, and power-folding third-row seats.

The family-friendly SUV comes with two full sets of LATCH car set connectors in the middle row, with additional tethers in the third row. To keep your passengers occupied over longer rides, you can opt for the available rear-seat entertainment system. Other available cabin amenities include leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated seating in the first two rows, and a heated steering wheel. You’ll find an abundance of cargo space in the Traverse, with 23 cubic feet available in the back of the SUV. That area expands to a total of 98.2 cubic feet when the second and third rows are folded down.

The Traverse is powered by a 310-horsepower V6 engine along with a steady-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission. When properly set up for towing duties, the Traverse can move up to 5,000 pounds.
